At Trish N Trina Performers Academy we guide our students through two industry‑recognised examination frameworks:
NCDTA – the Northern Counties Dance Teachers’ Association, which we have followed since the school opened, and
I‑PATH – International Performing Arts & Theatre, newly added to broaden the range of graded opportunities we can offer.
International Dance Rewards (IDR) – IDR is a fun badge and certificate scheme that offers structured progression through every aspect of dance.
The NCDTA is a non‑profit organisation supporting dance in all its forms, with members across the UK and beyond. It provides graded and vocational examinations and teacher qualifications in disciplines such as Ballroom, Sequence, Latin American, Salsa, Country & Western, Street/Hip Hop/Freestyle, Cheer Dance, Modern Stage/Jazz, Ballet, and Tap.
Students can progress through structured grades assessed by external examiners, gaining certificates that recognise their technique, musicality, and performance skills.
I‑PATH is one of the fastest‑growing performing‑arts examination boards, offering Ofqual‑regulated graded and vocational exams from Entry Level to Grade 8, with Grades 6+ carrying UCAS points.
Disciplines available include Ballet, Jazz, Contemporary, Commercial, Street, Lyrical, Musical Theatre, Singing, and both Rhythm and Theatre Tap, with assessments available face‑to‑face or by video.
We are a proud member school of the International Dance Rewards programme – a beautifully designed badge and certificate system that offers structured progression through every aspect of dance, from technique and performance to manners and uniform. This inclusive scheme focuses on regular, stress‑free, in‑house assessment, helping students stay motivated, happy and inspired.
Our younger pupils have already completed their first IDR awards, proudly wearing their new badges and certificates.
